The Resource - Black Lives Matter

Supporting your African American coworkers, direct reports, and employees has never been more important. If you’re wondering how, please don’t start by asking them to explain where they’re at and what they need. Instead, take advantage of the many resources available in book, podcast, article, and social-media-post forms. There’s a lot of work that’s been done already that you can take advantage of, and this a great time to invest in that. Limiting your focus to the workplace experience will limit your understanding of the situation, so this list is broader than our usual offerings.

If you have the resources, please buy the materials vs borrowing from the library so that the people who’ve done the work can be supported in continuing it. Under no circumstances should you “pirate” any of these materials. Additionally, while we usually link to books to purchase through Amazon, under the circumstances, we’ve linked to Black-owned online bookstores.
